Terms of service
The short version
We quote a fixed price on a fixed scope, you pay half to start and half on launch, and everything we build for you becomes yours on final payment. The rest of this page spells that out properly.
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of koolautomations.com and, unless a signed proposal says otherwise, to project work you engage Kool Automations to do. Using the site or engaging us means you accept them.
Quotes and scope
Every project starts with a written scope, a fixed price and a target date. If the scope changes, we requote before building the change, never after. A quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
Payment
Half of the project fee is due before work starts, half on launch. Retainers are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled with 30 days notice. You get a proper invoice for every payment. Late payment can pause the work.
Ownership
On final payment, the code, designs and content we produced for your project transfer to you. Accounts that matter (hosting, app stores, analytics) sit in your name from day one. We keep the right to use general techniques, libraries and know-how in other work, and to mention the project in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Your responsibilities
- Provide the content, feedback and approvals the schedule depends on.
- Make sure material you give us does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Keep your own account credentials safe once we hand them over.
Warranties and liability
We build carefully and fix defects in the agreed scope found within 30 days of launch at no charge. Beyond that, the site and our services are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us for the work the claim relates to, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data.
Third party platforms
App stores, hosting providers and payment platforms have their own rules and review timelines that we do not control. We will navigate them with you, but we cannot guarantee a third party's approval or uptime.
Ending an engagement
Either side can end a project engagement in writing. You pay for work completed up to that point, and we hand over everything that has been paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes go to the Singapore courts.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version goes up on this page with a new date at the top. Changes do not apply retroactively to a project already underway.
